Student and Academic Life

The Student Services Center’s First-Generation Student Advising team supports first-generation students at the University of Kentucky from recruitment to graduation through research-based programs, best practices, and campus-wide advocacy about the needs of students who are the first in their families to go to college.

 

The First-Generation Gift Fund provides scholarship funds and numerous resources for students seeking to be the first in their families to earn a Bachelor’s degree. Donations assist in filling in financial gaps for students, supporting education abroad and research opportunities, and offering a host of opportunities that provide for enriching personal and academic experiences both inside and outside of the classroom.
