College of Health Sciences

The Health Sciences Academic Fund for Excellence supports student education in the College of Health Sciences. Our students will be the leaders in helping the people of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and beyond attain the highest level of health possible. To prepare for their roles in health sciences, many of our students spend hundreds of hours beyond the classroom in clinical settings – which makes it difficult for them to work while enrolled full-time. As a result, many CHS students often need financial assistance to graduate without extensive student debt.

 
The need for student scholarships is great. Currently, CHS awards scholarships based on need and academic success. Additional support for the fund would make is possible to financially assist more students and make more opportunities available. For example, the college would like to have scholarship dollars available to recruit incoming students and support education abroad.


In addition to providing scholarships to students based on need and academic success, CHS is able to make emergency funds available to students. Students can apply any time during the school year when they are in or near a crisis which will impact their education.

 
Every gift is appreciated and has the power to change lives. Our goal is $15,000.
