Big Blue Pantry

The Big Blue Pantry Gift Fund supports the student run and student serving Big Blue Pantry for students who experience food insecurity. The Big Blue Pantry is a program of the Center for Community Outreach and provides non-perishable food and hygiene items and limited perishable goods for any student in need. Since its founding in 2014, the Big Blue Pantry has continued to grow its number of visits annually, with 480 visits in the 2017-2018 school year. Any donated funds go to supplement donated food to ensure students have access to a range of healthy and culturally appropriate options. A recent campus study found that more than 40% of UK students experience some level of food insecurity during their college career and the Big Blue Pantry is one resource to
help combat the affects.
