Sanders-Brown Center on Aging

Around 5.7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s Disease, and by 2050, this number is projected to rise to nearly 14 million.

In 2018, Alzheimer’s and other dementias will cost the nation $277 billion.

Alzheimer’s Disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States.*

We need a cure, and the time to act is now!

Thankfully, at the University of Kentucky there is a group who has made it their mission to improve the lives of those living with Alzheimer’s and ultimately finding a cure. The clinicians and researchers at the University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Center on Aging (SBCoA) work together to improve the health of the elderly in Kentucky and beyond through research dedicated to understanding the aging process and age-related brain diseases, and education, outreach and clinical programs that promote healthy brain aging.

Over the past three decades, SBCoA has flourished and has emerged as one of the nation's leaders in the fight against Alzheimer’s. However, in order to continue the fight and reach the ultimate goal of finding a cure, we need your help. Philanthropy is essential to continue the groundbreaking and life changing work of the SBCoA to provide funds to support clinical, educational and faculty recruitment priorities. Please support the Alzheimer's Disease Research Fund today.
