Kentucky Children's Hospital

Child Life provides a needed bridge for young patients between the adult language they hear and their developmental ability to process what’s happening to them. Specialists help children understand their medical treatment through therapeutic play interventions, supporting them through challenging situations with something that every child loves—toys!

Child Life’s essential service—to help children positively cope with the stress of hospitalization—is not billable to insurance. That makes donations even more important as we work to improve the quality of a child's experience during a procedure or hospital stay.
